WHAT IS HAZARD MITIGATION PLANNING?
Hazard mitigation reduces loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters and enabling access to mitigation grants. Risk analysis is the primary tool that provides a foundation for mitigation measures that reduce risk and protect financial investment.
WHAT WE DO
SEIRPC staff works collaboratively with the planning committee composed of participating communities and organizations, local officials, decision-makers, and the entire community to conduct all public meetings, complete data research, create grant scenarios, and to produce the planning document.
